1. Agreement
By using ProcessLayer products, including Definition of Ready AI for Jira, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you use the service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
2. Services
ProcessLayer provides marketplace apps that help teams improve workflow readiness, governance, and operational clarity. Definition of Ready AI for Jira analyzes Jira issue content, generates readiness findings, and can draft work orders, acceptance criteria, QA checklists, and clarification prompts.
3. Atlassian Marketplace and third-party platforms
Some ProcessLayer products are distributed through Atlassian Marketplace or other third-party marketplaces. Marketplace terms, billing rules, licensing rules, refund rules, and platform policies may also apply. Atlassian is not responsible for ProcessLayer products, support, or generated outputs.
4. Beta and early access
Some products may be in beta, early access, preview, or pre-listing status. Features, quotas, pricing, data flows, and availability may change before general availability or Marketplace approval.
5. Customer responsibilities
- Customers are responsible for configuring the app, managing Jira permissions, and reviewing generated outputs before using them.
- Customers should not submit sensitive personal information, secrets, credentials, or regulated data unless they are authorized to do so and the relevant safeguards are in place.
- Customers are responsible for content written back into Jira by their users.
6. AI-generated output
Generated work orders, checklists, risk notes, and recommendations may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for a specific project. ProcessLayer does not guarantee that generated outputs are correct, complete, secure, or compliant. Users must review and approve outputs before relying on them or writing them back to Jira.
7. Acceptable use
Customers may not misuse the service, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with service operation, bypass licensing or quotas, reverse engineer the app except where law prohibits that restriction, use the app to violate law or third-party rights, or submit malicious content.
8. Data and privacy
ProcessLayer handles data as described in the Privacy Policy. Customers are responsible for ensuring that their use of ProcessLayer products complies with their own legal, privacy, security, and procurement obligations.
9. Marketplace billing
Paid app billing may be handled through the relevant marketplace, such as Atlassian Marketplace, where applicable. If ProcessLayer offers direct vendor billing, the order form, invoice, or signed agreement will describe the applicable fees, renewal terms, taxes, and cancellation rules.
10. Support
Support is provided through support@processlayer.co and the resources on the Support page. Marketplace or platform support channels may also apply depending on where the app is listed.
11. Suspension and termination
Customers may stop using or uninstall apps according to marketplace and platform procedures. ProcessLayer may suspend or restrict access if required to protect the service, comply with law, prevent abuse, or address non-payment where applicable.
12. No warranty
The service is provided as-is and as-available unless otherwise stated in a signed agreement. ProcessLayer does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or meet every customer requirement.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ProcessLayer is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
14. Governing law
Unless a signed agreement states otherwise, these terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
15. Changes
ProcessLayer may update these terms as products, marketplace requirements, or legal requirements change. Material updates will be reflected by changing the date at the top of these terms.
